CHAPATECA

ALTERNATIVE LIBRARY SOLUTION

The Chapateca Association is a dynamic Mozambican organization dedicated to bringing books, literacy, and learning

to underserved communities through a network of innovative community-based libraries.

In partnership with local associations, we operate on the outskirts of the country’s major cities.

DIALOGUE

We are committed to creating, managing and galvanizing innovative community-based libraries, connected by a mobile library.

Our goal is to create a supportive network of community-based libraries, acting as dynamic and accessible learning centers.

We wish to contribute to the construction of a more equitable society by promoting education for all Mozambicans and by changing their perception of books.
